OUR MISSION
Mission Statement:
Our mission at The Elikya Project is to ensure that every child has access to proper nutrition, enabling them to reach their full potential and succeed academically. We are committed to providing free meals to underfunded elementary schools, working alongside local non-profits to make this possible. Every child deserves the chance to thrive, and we are dedicated to making a difference in their lives.
Our Vision
Short-term goal
In the short term, we aim to provide two nutritious meals daily to students, instructors, and staff four days per week at local elementary schools. By ensuring access to consistent and healthy meals, we strive to improve school attendance, academic performance, and overall health among students. Our immediate focus is on public schools in Kinshasa, with the goal of expanding to other provinces as our resources grow.
Our Vision
Long-term goal
Our long-term goal is to establish a permanent, nationwide free farm-to-school meal program in all underserved public schools across the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). This initiative will ensure that every child has access to the nutrition they need to learn, grow, and succeed.
Beyond meal distribution, we also aim to build a headquarters—a Home for the Elikya Project—that will serve as a safe and educational space for underprivileged and abandoned children, including those accused of witchcraft. This facility will provide them with the resources, education, and support they need to thrive.
Additionally, The Elikya Academy will be established to promote adult education, offering programs that empower individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute to their communities.
Through these initiatives, the Elikya Project is not just providing meals—we are building a lasting system of education, empowerment, and hope for generations to come.
